Dell Quinn has been confirmed as taking over from Emily Lambert to run the SBSC program at Microsoft with immediate effect.
In Dell’s own words:
I’ve worked for Microsoft for the last two and half years. Primarily, I’ve worked with our unmanaged partners to ensure that they leveraged maximum benefit from partnership with Microsoft. I’m very much looking forward to working with the Small Business Specialist Community in FY10 – the world of small business is very close to my heart. My background is in marketing communications, particularly SMB technology PR. Over the coming weeks, I hope to meet many of you at upcoming user group events and in the meantime, please feel free to contact me with your feedback and ideas for FY10 via: sbscuk@microsoft.com
Microsoft have taken the decision to move SBSC back into the partner programmes team as it is best supported there and this obviously falls in line with the SBSC designation being changed to a competency.
Dell will be continuing with the SBSC blog, SBSC RSS Feed, SBSC newsletter and SBSC User group leads Groove site, not to mention working closely with the PALs to ensure the community continues to grow and thrive.
As one of the FY10 PAL’s I will now be having our first regional meeting with Dell and an initial phone call later today and I’m looking forward to moving things forward as soon as possible.
I’d like to say a big thank you to Emily Lambert who has done much both publically and behind the scenes in the UK to make the SBSC program a success and I wish her all the best in her new role as VAR channel development.
