I was looking for an RDP app for my iPhone when I stumbled across Seadragon, so I installed it and I have to say it is a pretty polished app. in it’s iPhone guise.

I’ve just bought a netbook and as I use it for work and leisure I wanted a way to sync files between it, my work PC and my home PC. Enter Live Mesh.

Live Mesh provides 5Gb of space in the cloud that allows you to store documents and files that are accessible from anywhere with an Internet connection. This isn’t a new idea of course and you could use SkyDrive or one of many other similar offerings. The interesting thing about Live Mesh though is that it lets me sync my chosen files and folders between my devices over the Internet directly with each other without having to utilise the 5Gb of space available.

As an added bonus Live Mesh also lets me connect directly to each of my devices desktops which is handy if I’m looking for a file that I haven’t added to my sync folders. It’s in beta at the moment and needs a bit of work – particularly with regard to the speed of desktop refresh when connected in to one of your devices – but it shows real potential and is certainly useable on a day to day basis.
