After a lot of barracking from various Microsoft Partners the literature folders are back!

The new version has subtle Microsoft branding and are great for presenting your company literature to prospects. Every little helps at the moment with the credit crunch deepening and these things aren’t cheap to have printed!

Microsoft in collaboration with the SBSC User groups have decided to take the SBS/EBS 2008 partner launch events to the community!

This is a fantastic opportunity for MS partners in the Midlands and beyond to come along to the launch event hosted by  Microsoft and AMITPRO on Wed 12th November at 5:30pm. There will be similar events at the other SBSC groups around the country in October and November.

Rather than have one launch event down at Reading it was decided to regionalize the events as this will provide much better partner engagement and will help re-ignite the SBSC program. All Microsoft partner are welcome at the event - the more the merrier - this is THE BIG EVENT of the year if you sell and support SBS and is your chance to engage with Microsoft’s Emily Lambert and Gareth Hall as well as other like minded partners.

Provisional agenda is as follows:

5:30-6:30
Product launch overview

6:30-7:30
Marketing 101

7:30-8:00
Refreshments

8:00-8:30
SBSC Programme

8:30-9:00
Q&A

9:00 onwards
Retire to the bar for refreshments and networking with your peers.

Emily Lambert from Microsoft has started a new UK focused SBSC blog over at:

http://blogs.technet.com/uksbsc/default.aspx

Emily is partner lead at Microsoft and although SBSC isn’t her only role she is committed to help getting the SBSC program back on track.

In Emily’s words:

I just wanted to let you know that I have set up a UK SBSC RSS Feed and it is now live. This has been created specifically for Microsoft UK’s Small Business Specialist Community (SBSC) partners to hear news and updates from Microsoft on areas that might interest them. Please feel free to circulate this with your SBSC UK peers.

Why not add it to your RSS feeds now?

On Tuesday we had N-Able present at the AMITPRO meeting. These guys provide a managed services platform which has similar functionality to Level Platforms and Kaseya but at a price point closer to HoundDog - a very compelling reason to take a closer look.

I was particularly impressed with the built in logmein licence which would mean you don’t have to pay separately for it. If you’re a Microsoft Partner you can try it out for yourself as they are offering 10 licences free for 12 months.

If you missed the meeting this month please feel free to download the presentation they gave on the night.
